Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

All About Water

Yesterday, it was all about water. Whether you were in it, near it, bouncing on it, lounging in it, or just wondering how to get your paws in it, water was the focus of much of yesterday's activities. For everybody.

The lake temperature is 82 degrees. That's considerably warmer than I keep the house in winter. No surprise it was an all day Beach Day here at Bondi!

Today the storm went around us. We got some rain, but not for long. Enough to water the gardens and settle the dust. It was actually welcome, after the heat of the past week, and it gave everyone a chance to relax, read a book, work on some cottage crafts, just hang out.

The thing about weather -- it changes. And it always looks worse when seen through a window. (much the way Finnian looks bigger when seen in the fish bowl!) Get out there, and even the dull days, the mist in the air days, the rain falling around you, they are magical too.
