Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Everyone Can Play

Fun can be found anywhere.

Some of the smallest still are a touch wobbly on skates, and the game on the rink can get fast.
For the Baillie Family get-together, having everyone able to join in is important.

No problem. One of the advantages of our big parking areas is that cars can go over here, and road hockey can go over there... A few moments with the shovels to create the "boards" (for Brian to later remove with the plow when their usefulness is done) and they are in business.

Right outside the door of the big Lodge in fact. Everyone got into the act, and there are no Time Outs for cars passing through. Cross country skiers pausing to watch don't interrupt the flow at all!
The action was almost non-stop (well, there were a few moments to retrieve players from the snowbanks, and there was much cheering when the goalies went down for the save) Four generations were out there having fun together.
Then, for their annual Bondi photo, everyone grouped in front of the Lodge entrance... before heading in for a well earned lunch. This is their 31st year celebrating together with us.
We're honoured to provide the 'glue' that helps bind this family together with such wonderful times and memories! Here's to Next Year already!

  1. Every year my Mom tells the kids, "Sorry Bondi is closed this year we can't go." My kids just turn and give her the look. Ah Nannie it can't be closed. My four children look so forward to the weekend adventure with NO electronics. Along with all the outdoor activities they love the lodge. Their favourite indoor activity is hide and go seek. So many places to hide. Thanks for a family weekend.

This is our family's 8th year joining our adoptive family, the Baillie's at Bondi. What an experience it has been. Every year is different as the kids grow up, the adults become kids again and everyone has fun. So many memories are made. There has been no better place to go for a weekend to relax and catch up on doing some bonding at Bondi". Our three children, Ashley, Ryan and Alisha have all loved all the outdoor activities along with games played till the wee hours indoors. I'm not sure who loves hide n' seek more, the kids or adults even with the lights on! At the end of the day there is no better place to come together than inside the Lodge where good food and drinks are enjoyed and way too many snacks from the snack table. But what would Bondi be without the "snack table". We give our thanks every year to all the Baillies for voting us in again for next year! We love you all. We are all so looking forwrad to next year already!
