Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

March Break, and Clocks on the Move

Don't forget (as I frequently do) that tonight is when we put the clocks forward.

Which translates that instead of getting me up at 6.30 a.m., Taffy puppy will be giving her wake-up call at 5.30. Something to ponder.
On the other hand, the days will be longer. The sun will have more punch behind it.  And March Break will be a great time to enjoy the Great Longer-Lighted Outdoors.  We've got buckets of snow.  Brian points out that he can't lift it any higher with the tractor bucket... but he'll be out tomorrow grooming ski trails.

Last year the snow conditions by now were a little tenuous, and changing daily, with quite a lot of grass pushing up through the white stuff. Guests took advantage of the sunny days.  Some of them even went for a dip in the lake (after creating their version of the Titanic)

This year, the March Break looks to be a really great time for people wanting to ski -- be that Cross country, or Downhill.

Hidden Valley Highlands runs a really good Ski School.  The tubing park is in full swing.  And we've got the best snowmobile trails in the province.  If we get the right conditions, we'll be skating the lake -- or at the very least, golfing it...

The thing about March is that the conditions change so fast. Bring clothes for just about everything.  Then get outdoors, and make your own cheer!
