Jupiter Shining

This is a lovely week to look up at the sky at dusk. Talk about a "Star in the East" -- Jupiter, lovely bright big Jupiter, is sitting right next to the full moon.

Aldebaran, the big eye of Taurus the bull, is just below, and easier to see a little bit later in the evening as the sky darkens and the moon lifts, but Jupiter -- well, there it is in its glory.

Of course, the full moon will wash out much of the sky this week with its brilliance, but it can't dim Jupiter's shine.

Out you go. Look up...

  1. I remember looking up at the moon this week and seeing it close by... assumed it had to be one of the planets.
