Oh My Darling! Clamantine II wins the Chowder Bowl

Avery was visiting a friend of Nancy's this week. She's a competitive Synchro Swimmer, and put her talents to good use by artistically diving the lake to find a clam that is as competitive in the water as she is.

Clamantine II sped 5'2 to be the overall winner of the Chowder Bowl. Avery proudly holds the trophy, sporting her gold medal.

Silver medal position was a tie: 44 inches, a distance reached by both Clammy Hands (entry of Patrick and Charles) and Clam of My Heart, (entry of Alex Button and Carrie, and accepted on their behalf by Shelley Velleman.  (note Nancy wearing the official Ugly Green Crocs of the Clam Race)

Patrick tried to pretend that a Clam Race medal position was 'no big deal'... but it really is. So, too, is his certificate for swimming in from the Island.

Bronze medal went to a very very excited

Marty, who was over the moon to get a medal for the 42" finish of IronClam.

and in the reserve "platinum medal position" was his older brother, Nathan, who's Mink Killer was closing fast at the finish for a 38" effort.

The Muskoka Music Men's "My Wild Racing Clam" ran well this year, finishing 7th.

And Napster was delighted that his MichelClamgelo ran into 9th place, out of 42 clams that started.

Sadly, every year, some clams prefer to clam up, and fail to run. This year, Tony Clament was one of them...
