Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Reflections, right on the Monet

Monet had his famous waterlilies series of paintings.  We think we know where he found his inspiration.

This was our bay this morning. (and yes, that was sunshine... rare as it has been of late)   The reflections shimmered in the early mist, and we rather loved the effect of it all.

We are short of waterlilies at this time of year.  Not to worry... apparently we still have Canada geese. Correctly termed a gaggle when they are on the water, these were quite happy to gaggle off away from Taffy and produce small points of emphasis in the watercoloured bay.

"Git", said Taffy, escorting them off the shore and out onto the lake.  You could probably flip this picture upside down without losing much of the detail...  Mirror mirror on the bay, what a truly lovely day.

  1. Beautiful shots! I imagine these ones are coming from further north and taking a break on their way south. There's a lake here where the other night there were the sounds of perhaps hundreds of them on the water, no doubt doing the same, just resting for the evening before taking off again the next day.
