Bondi Resort Blog

Come on into our Blog for a look at the wonderful world we've got to share! With over 240 hectares (600 acres) of wilderness woodlands surrounding the resort, just ten minutes from Algonquin Park, we feature over 400 metres (1200’) of waterfront and beach; boat rentals; summer hiking trails winding through fields and woods; 20 km. of groomed cross country ski trails and snowshoeing in winter; access to nearby snowmobile trails for sledders, and a toboggan hill for the young at heart.

Snow walker

Robin Tapley caught this photo of a moose rambling through a blizzard up in Algonquin Park last week.  He carries a camera always, because you just never know what (or who) is going to pop up in front of you.  Snowshoeing is a fantastic way to get into the woods, quietly, respectfully, with the time and chance to see the neighbours.  Plus, it is fabulous exercise, that can be tailored to your very own pace.

If you can walk, you can 'shoe... as the aficionados of the sport like to say.  Although, while this moose can certainly walk (through snow that is up to the knees) we suspect she would not be quite so thrilled to try snowshoes...
